So I had this idea the other day while playing my Wii U ... yep another randon vision that ocasionally pops into my head and any given time and I have to try create it lol.

The shot was having the Wii U controller floating and to have lots of energy coming from it. So how was I going to go about making this? We'll I used just 3 shots and two lights.

One light had a pingpong ball attached to it with a blu gel and was placed infront of the Wii U controller. The other had a warming gel attached to it to mimic the light coming from my lightbulb and this was bounced off the ceiling.

I needed a shot of my face+1 had letting go, then the other hand letting go then just a shot of my legs with the pingpong light illuminating them so I could eventually mask in the legs and get rid of the stand the pingpong light was on.
Left hand and face I used.
Right hand.
Illuminating the legs so I could mask these in over the light stand.
All blended together. Now time for some post prouction.
The setting up bit.
Editing was easy and fun. I added some dodge and burn to get that fake'ish look for this photo then some lightning coming from the controller.
Dodge and burn layer.
The final piece.
Here's some closeup detail shots:
The face details.
Lightning details.
A layer build up so you can see how it was all knitted together.
Hope you've enjoyed this project. It was a fin personal project that I do from time to time to help practice new techniques and scenarios. I encourage you to do the same!
